Living practice

During living practice, we build a bridge between the inpatient stay and life at home, with the goal of a smooth start for the patients when they return home.

Patients spend the day more or less without support from carers. They get their own food from the ward kitchen, prepare their own coffee and tidy up. Other tasks may include the planning and preparation of food, including grocery shopping.

Further topics of living practice

  • Managing current and future daily and weekly structure
  • Using public transportation so that they can later visit the day care unit or outpatient therapy independently
  • Preparation for a return to the workplace

Living therapy also incorporates previous therapies, which are just as important as these new challenges.
