Clinically relevant research projects are conducted in our scientific department. These make important contributions to the continuous development of modern, multimodal rehabilitation therapy.

Further research activities concern the care

  • Patients in a persistent vegetative state
  • People with neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Children or adults with cerebral palsy

Practical projects for the following

  • Identifying dysphagia in speech therapy
  • Applying modern methods to physiotherapy
  • Measuring arm and hand function in tetraplegics through occupational therapy (REACT study)

In paraplegiology, we participate in the multicentre SwiSCI study, the first long-term study throughout Switzerland that surveys the specific needs of those with spinal injuries, including their needs after initial inpatient rehabilitation.
